A client came to me last month with a design issue on their custom built home plans. After working with an architect and builder for 12+ months the builders quote came in $600k over budget, yes that’s right, $600k over. After looking over the proposed building I notice many areas that were poorly designed and where cost savings could be made. How to make you’re your bedroom a little more appealing? I always like to add a couple of pendants lights to the master bedroom design. There are plenty of good lighting stores around and the cost of the pendant lights is very affordable.

Using dark colours in the kitchen can be difficult, I suggest using a lighter colour splash back that will tone down the darker colours and bring a sense of harmony between the elements.
