Yes another home invasion spree in Melbourne, so what can you legally do about it? The best deterrent against these cowardly thugs is a dog
and I don’t have a Chihuahua in mind, a medium size dog with a good bark is the perfect ticket. These pathetic pieces of filth only pick on the
easy targets so if you make it potentially dangerous for them they will leave you alone.

House prices in Melbourne seem to be heading only one way – and that’s up. The average median house price in the city has hit $800,000 and still rising.
Rather than buy an existing house, many prospective homeowners are considering building a new home in an outer suburb or buying a rundown house, knocking
it down and building new on the land.

Owner builder gone so wrong!
Berstan Homes are currently in the middle of a knock down rebuild in Pascoe Vale and the build is at lock up stage. Next door to the Berstan home is a

Those who are fascinated by the age of steam can indulge this weekend at Steamfest in Scoresby. There are displays of industrial steam and diesel engines, blacksmithing, hay baling, earth moving machinery, model displays, vintage radio, fire engines, vintage vehicles and a tank. There is even a walking dragline that doesn’t use wheels, but “walks” on two giant feet.
There is a miniature railway or a tractor to see around the displays, at the National Steam Centre in Ferntree Gully Road. Thomas and his friends will be on the model railway to delight the kids. Refreshments are available.

Do some lazy laps at Carlton Baths this Sunday to the sound of laid-back soul and blues music.
The Teskey Brothers are a group formed on the banks of the Yarra River, in the small town of Warrandyte. The band consists of brothers Sam and Josh Taskey and also features Brendon Love on bass and Liam Gough on drums.
Their music is relaxed, fun and nostalgic and is the perfect backdrop for your Sunday afternoon swim or gym work-out at the historic baths in Rathdowne St, Carlton.
There is no cover charge, the music is included in the standard pool entry.
The Tesky Brothers are playing between 1pm-3pm this Sunday, March 5.

At Berstan Homes, we are often asked for a base price for a new home build. But we don’t have a base price. We find out exactly what the client wants in
a house and then we will give them a detailed quote, with no hidden extras.
