Fencing feature

A great way to include a feature around your home is the lining of a fence with blue board and render. This is a simple process and is the perfect job for the home handy person.

The blue board can easily be purchased at any hardware shop for example, Bunnings, Masters, Mitre 10 ,ETC for around $32 for a 2.440 x 1.200 sheet. Fixing of the board can be either screwed or nailed. Once the sheets are fixed in place the joints can be trowelled up and left to dry. Once dry, the whole sheet then gets covered with render and made even and then left to dry usually for 24 hours. It is then time to select your colour for the final coat. Most Dulux colours are available and is mixed at the suppliers store ready for application. If it all sounds too hard doing the rendering, the cost for a solid plasterer is around $50 M/2 and they will supply all rendering products in that price. By adding a feature wall in your garden like this can make your outdoor space modern. Berstan have been using rendered blue board for the last 10 years and has had no problems.
